We are experts at repairing ceiling and wall damage from water leaks. We are also fully insured and EPA lead paint certified. Our insurance coverage also includes “action over labor law” coverage, which some high-end buildings require.

Meet the Founder
Jon Barsness was born and raised in Minnesota, where he got his first experience painting residences as a teenage apprentice. After moving to New York City, he was fortunate to befriend the artist and a high-end painting contractor Bill Tapley. Jon soon started working for Bill, who taught him the ins and outs of high-end residential painting work—both the painting skills and the business side of things.
A few years later, Bill retired, and Jon started his own business, which eventually became Spruce Painters, Inc. Some of the expert painters at Spruce have worked with Jon for 20 years.
